Tickets had been sold for an event this month
Families left out of pocket from a cancelled Tatton Park event have been given an update.
We reported last month how the dinosaur-themed event, The Lost Kingdom, was due to arrive at Tatton Park this October as part of a UK tour.
But while the event went ahead in the other locations – including London and Glasgow – the Knutsford event, expected to run from October 18 to November 2, is not happening.
Ticket holders were left in limbo after Tatton Park bosses announced in September that the event had never been confirmed at the site, but tickets were still being sold on the official The Lost kingdom website via ticket provider Fever.
However Fever said it hadn’t received any confirmation the event had been called off and was in discussions with the event organiser following Tatton’s announcement.

But now Fever has told the Manchester Evening News that the event is definitely not going ahead and all ticket holders will be refunded.

A spokesperson for the company, which manages ticket sales but is not involved in the production nor the execution of events, said: “I can confirm that The Lost Kingdom event, scheduled to take place between 18 October and 2 November 2025, will not be going ahead. All customers who purchased tickets are receiving full refunds.
“We understand that this is disappointing news and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.
“We would like to clarify that Fever acts solely as the ticketing service provider for this event and has had no participation in its production or logistics.
“We are working to ensure that all affected customers are refunded promptly and kept informed throughout the process. We appreciate your understanding.”
In a letter to customers, the Fever Team said: “All affected orders will be fully refunded automatically to your original payment method — you don’t need to do anything. Refunds will typically appear within 10 working days, depending on your bank or payment provider.”
It was back in March when the MEN first reported that The Lost Kingdom would be running at Tatton, promising the ‘biggest Jurassic event to hit Britain’ featuring more than 50 animatronic beasts including an 18m tall T-Rex that roars and lashes its tail while hunting for prey.
Making the public announcement on social media last month, a spokesperson for the park said: “Tatton Park were approached in March this year by The Lost Kingdom event organiser for initial discussions regarding the prospective hosting of their event. Unfortunately, the necessary contractual requirements were not met by the organiser and the event was never confirmed.
“We became aware that the company involved were promoting the event on their website and selling tickets through a third-party ticket provider in early September. Following several attempts to contact the company, we received a response from the organiser on 11th September stating they would issue an official public statement and close down their event website. This has not happened, and we therefore made the decision to release our advice yesterday on social media.”

They added: “We encourage visitors to always refer to tattonpark.org.uk for all events, which will be listed on our official events calendar where ticket booking can be accessed via the links on our website.”
Among the attractions at The Lost Kingdom, ticket holders were told they’d get to see an Iguanodon’s furious battle against a Deinonychus, Pterosaurs that screech as they soar through the trees, a 15m tall Brachiosaurus guarding her eggs and a 16m long Diplodocus, who cries out to passers-by.
The organiser said that mini palaeontologists would be able to enjoy a dinosaur ride, a fossil pit to dig for giant bones, endless photo opportunities with the giant beasts, as well as an entertainment marquee, brimming with Jurassic VR experience pods, face painting, and dino balloons.
They also said they would be a refreshment area offering street food, including churros, burgers, hotdogs, drinks, crepes, waffles and noodles.
Reviews of previous events have been mixed with reports that some other dates, including some in Southampton, were also cancelled.
The MEN has repeatedly been unable to reach the organiser for a comment. Its website states: “As the arrangements for our event are still currently under review, we are suspending ticket sales on our Manchester Event until further notice.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will issue an announcement regarding on the next steps as soon as possible.”
