The full list of Pizza Hut locations set to be closed has been revealed. It comes after a franchisee of the global pizza chain collapsed into administration this week.

DC London Pie Limited, which operates Pizza Hut’s UK branches, appointed Matthew Boyd Callaghan, Lindsay Kate Hallam, and Christopher Jon Bennett of FTI Consulting LLP as joint administrators on October 20.

Following the news, it has been confirmed that a total of 79 branches will be closing, with dine-in restaurants and delivery branches affected, although no takeaway locations are set to close.

Among them will be six branches across Scotland, with dine-in Pizza Huts closing down in Falkirk, Dundee, and Inverness, as well as three in Edinburgh. As of writing, no confirmed closure date has been confirmed.

It is said that the closures will result in a total loss of 1,210 jobs, with joint administrators working with affected employees to support them through the difficult period as they are made redundant.

We previously reported that Pizza Hut’s Glasgow flagship branch on Argyle Street’s iconic ‘four corners’ closed without warning in August, although it’s not confirmed if this was before DC filed for administration.

The branches closing down were not included in a pre-packaged rescue deal that saw administrators save 64 dine-in restaurants across the UK and Ireland, with 1,276 jobs safeguarded by the move.

DC London Pie Limited, which also operates franchises in Sweden and Denmark, only recently bought over the UK branch of Pizza Hut in January 2025, saving the firm from collapsing into insolvency.

However, it has recently been impacted by challenging trading conditions and increased costs, while also being the subject of a winding-up petition that was filed by HMRC around six weeks ago.

This petition is a legal notice that is usually filed from a creditor against a company that owes them around £750 or more in money, meaning it could be forced to close down.

Matt Callaghan, joint administrator, commented: “This transaction provides a stable platform for one of the UK’s best-known dine-in brands, securing the continuation of 64 Pizza Hut sites and importantly preserves 1,276 jobs.

“The joint administrators will continue to work with employees who have unfortunately been made redundant, to ensure they get the support needed.”

Founded in Wichita, Texas, Pizza Hut is an American multinational chain that has become a favourite among families for its range of pizza dishes, buffet cart and ice cream factories that make it suitable for adults and kids alike.
