Meghan Markle ‘reaches out’ to Princess Kate as Duchess plans UK return
Meghan Markle set her eyes on winning back Princess Kate’s trust ahead of her much-awaited return to the UK with Prince Harry.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from their active working royal roles in 2020. Since 2022, the former Suits actress has not joined her husband on his UK trips.
There are talks that Meghan and Harry might travel to the UK before Christmas, and for that possible comeback, the Duchess is eager to make the first move of reconciliation towards the future Queen.
As per Radar Online, an insider claimed, “Meghan has asked her people to reach out to Kate and organise a call. She hopes this will be the first step towards reconciliation.”
It is important to mention that in recent times, the mother-of-two made it to the headlines with her back-to-back appearances in Paris and New York City.
Richard Eden, a renowned royal expert, believes that Meghan’s presence at Paris Fashion Week was the Sussexes’ plan in order to make a smooth return to the royal fold.
“It’s known as ‘Project Thaw’ because the aim is to ‘warm up’ the duke and duchess’ frosty relationships with the rest of the royal family and with the British people,” he said.
Speaking of Meghan’s UK return, the source claimed that is trip is happening. The Sussexes’ team is finalising the timing before the royal family’s annual traditional Sandringham festivities.
“Obviously, Meghan’s anxious about it. She knows all eyes will be on her the minute she lands. She’s desperate to get ahead of the narrative, and she knows getting Kate on board would massively help,” added an insider.
Britons will be delighted with Meghan if Princess Catherine accepts her back following the Duchess’ “genuine efforts.”
