Emergency services descended on a Heywood street following a two-car crash.

Paramedics treated two people at the scene following the collision on Green Lane at around 9.45am this morning (April 26).

Two fire engines and a specialist rescue team were also sent out to the scene.

Images from the scene showed two cars, a red Ford Mondeo and a blue car, involved in the crash at a junction.

The front end of the blue car appears to be completely wrecked from the crash, while the Mondeo also appears damaged.
