Mike continues to be closely linked with rugby through his media work, which includes a popular podcast, The Good, The Bad and The Rugby. He is also the figurehead behind the controversial R360 venture, a new franchise-based league that had been hoping to attract some of the game’s top talent.

Scheduled to kick off in a year’s time, the rebel league involves 12 franchised teams – eight men’s and four women’s – participating in a global grand prix-style competition with matches set to take place in cities including London, Miami, Tokyo and Lisbon.
