London’s status uncertain for Dolphins game after being downgraded to questionable.
The Atlanta Falcons have downgraded wide receiver Drake London to questionable for their Week 8 game against the Miami Dolphins. London showed up on Friday’s injury report as a limited participant due to a hip injury. While he wasn’t initially given a game designation, London’s status now appears to be in doubt.
The Falcons could be without both their starting quarterback and No. 1 wide receiver on Sunday. Michael Penix Jr., who was originally listed as questionable for Week 8, is not expected to play. According to a report from ESPN, it’s “highly likely” that Kirk Cousins will start.
Even though the Falcons said they would let Penix see how he feels on game day, the elevation of practice squad quarterback Easton Stick seems to suggest the former top-10 pick will be inactive on Sunday. Atlanta also elevated Dylan Drummond from the practice squad to give the team more depth at wide receiver.
Will Drake London play vs. Dolphins?
London’s status as questionable gives him a chance to play, but the fact that he was added to the injury report on Saturday is a bad sign. If you’re counting on London for your fantasy team, it would be wise to have a backup ready. Check back at 11:30 a.m. ET on Sunday for the team’s Week 8 inactives list
Thus far this season, London has recorded 38 catches for 469 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Will Michael Penix Jr. or Kirk Cousins start vs. Dolphins?
Michael Penix Jr. is also questionable but ESPN’s report suggests Kirk Cousins will get the start in Week 8. Cousins appeared in Week 3, completing five of seven passes for 29 yards against the Panthers. As mentioned above, Easton Stick has been elevated from the practice squad, indicating Cousins will get the start on Sunday.

Falcons make roster moves ahead of Week 8
The Falcons placed linebacker Divine Deablo on the injured reserve list, while activating Jordan Fuller from the injured reserve list. The team also signed linebacker Ronnie Harrison off the practice squad. Atlanta still had a roster spot available from releasing Ray-Ray McCloud earlier this week.
Sunday’s game kicks off at 1 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The Falcons will be wearing their all-black uniforms while the Dolphins will be in their white-and-aqua jerseys.
