Police have launched a probe into the “unexplained” death of a man at a home in Edinburgh.

Emergency crews raced to a call for concern over a person at an address on Loganlea Place in the capital at around 7.30am on Sunday October 26.

A 56-year-old man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Although his death is not being treated as suspicious, officers have said it is being treated as unexplained.

Locals reported seeing Loganlea Place closed off in both directions by officers, reports Edinburgh Live.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.30am on Sunday, 26 October, 2025, we were called to an address on Loganlea Place, Edinburgh.

“A 56-year-old man was pronounced dead.

“Enquiries are ongoing and the death is currently being treated as unexplained, however, at this time there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

“A report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.”
