A famous pet duck joined Celtic fans as they flocked to Parkhead today to celebrate their team’s triumphant clinching of the Scottish Premiership title.

Among the sea of green and white scarves and smoke bombs, one unexpected guest stole the show – Frosty the Duck, who is believed to be an emotional support animal for his unknown Celtic supporting owner.

Frosty gained notoriety after his owner started creating videos of his adventures for social media, including a visit to Ayr beach and a Celtic women’s fixture against city rivals Glasgow City.

The duck was spotted outside the home of the champions today decked in his very own custom Celtic scarf as supporters gathered to welcome the team back from Tannadice as league victors following their 5-0 thrashing of Dundee United.

Photos and videos posted online showed the social media famed duck being held aloft amongst the flags of the Parkhead faithful.

Fans posted funny comments online about the duck’s appearance at Paradise as Frosty began to be recognised.

Celtic Park tour guide Davie McLaughlin wrote: “Just received a message from a relative saying ‘there’s that duck you know…’ I barely know it. We’ve only been for a few pints!!” Another quipped: “That’s a quacker!!”

Other supporters cleverly created duck puns for former Celtic heroes, including Bobby Murduck and Rab Ducklas.

The Daily Record reported last week on Frosty’s visit in a buggy alongside his owner to Celtic Park for a tour.

The visit of the local icon took tour guide Davie by surprise. He wrote in a social media post: “I didn’t expect to see (Frosty) on the Celtic Park tour. It even ordered a pint and told me to put it on its bill. It’s the bold Frosty.

“I assumed his favourite Celtic player would have been Quackie McNamara. But he shocked me by saying it was actually Virgil Van Duck.”

Frosty stunned shoppers in November at the Fort when he appeared walking about on a lead with his owner – happily posing for pictures with shoppers.

The pictures, shared on X, left people curious about the cute duck. One user joked saying it was “quackers”, whilst another added: “He’s just doing it for the quack.”

The Hoops won this season’s Premiership title in a commanding 5-0 victory over Dundee United, a win that secured their 55th Scottish Premiership title.

Goals from Nicolas Kühn and Adam Idah, along with an own goal by Dundee’s Ryan Strain, sealed the victory.

Manager Brendan Rodgers expressed his commitment to the club, stating he is “200 percent staying” after clinching his 11th trophy with Celtic

With the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen on the horizon, fans of the Bhoys are hopeful for a domestic treble.
