Strictly Come Dancing’s Craig Reveal Horwood took everyone by surprise after his harsh four-word remark to one contestant.
The 60-year-old, who has been part of the programme since 2004, appeared on Monday’s (October 27) episode of Strictly spin off, It Takes Two alongside host Fleur East.
Fleur wasted no time, quizzing Craig on the remaining contestants and the judge didn’t mince his words as he shared his honest opinions.
Talk soon turned to Alex Kingston‘s previous performance as the actress was moved to tears following her impressive dance during the BBC dancing competition.
At the time, the Doctor Who actress took to the ballroom with her professional partner Johannes Radebe and performed a show stopping rumba to Tracy Chapman’s ‘Fast Car’.

The routine left all four judges stunned and head judge Shirley Ballas gave the duo a standing ovation as well as a 10.
Speaking to Craig about the special moment, Fleur pointed out: “Alex’s rumba was her top scoring dance and Shirley gave her a ten. What do you want to see from her to get a ten?”
Craig didn’t hold back as he replied: “Overmarked.” The remark took Fleur by surprise as she gasped: “Oh no.” Craig wasn’t going to change his mind as he continued: “I’m just saying. I want to see a bit more pzazz and splash.”
“I think it sometimes gets a little bit same and a bit dare I say D-U-Double-L-dull darling. I think it’ll be nice to see her take bigger risks because she’s got great technique, she’s a fantastic actor.”

He continued: “I think she is wonderful and she shows real commitment and promise to this show and you can see how hard she works on technique as well. Shirley was right about her technique, it was really good but I would like to see a little bit more passion.”
With their top-scoring rumba now in the past, Alex channelled Dolly Parton for her latest routine, as Icons Week returned to the Strictly ballroom for a second year.
The 62-year-old performed a foxtrot, dressed as the country icon, with professional Johannes and was described as “absolutely beautiful” by judge Anton Du Beke.
They finished third place on the leaderboard having bagged an impressive 32 out of a possible 40 points from the judges, as Craig added: “You maintained your frame throughout, which was adorable, and your musicality is a sensation.”
Strictly Come Dancing returns Saturday at 6.55pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
