A “winter wonderland” festival is taking place in Greater Manchester this weekend with around 100 stalls.
The Northern Vegan Winter Festival is taking place on Saturday, November 1, at the Sugden Sports Centre in central Manchester.
It gives the people of Manchester the opportunity to get their festive fix a week ahead of the main Manchester Christmas Markets getting underway on Friday, November 7.
Described by the organisers as “not just a festival”, the full description reads: “We’re not just a festival – we’re a winter wonderland! Don’t miss Manchester’s biggest celebration of vegan holiday living.

“Grab your tickets now and bring your friends along for an unforgettable day of ethical Christmas shopping and cosy winter vibes!”
There are set to be around 80 stalls including a huge selection of cooked foods, pies, cakes, chocolates, sandwiches and salads, beauty and skincare products, candles, cheeses, jewellery, crafts, healthy treats, sweet treats, clothing, drinks, juices, smoothies, charity merchandise, free samples and more.
The Northern Vegan Winter Festival will run from 10.30am until 4.30pm on Saturday, November 1, and tickets are priced at £5 for a standard ticket and £15 for a VIP ticket.
Forking out £15 for a VIP ticket gives you fast track entry plus you will get a goody bag containing products, samples, and discounts. Organisers have warned that pets are not allowed at the event, apart from guide dogs.
Organisers have shared on social media platform Facebook that they are looking for volunteers for the event. There are various shifts available including 6am until 8am, 8am until 11am, 10am until 1pm and 1pm until 4pm.
Volunteering duties include scanning tickets, taking card payments, running our charity stall, handing out goodie bags, and they will receive free entry to the festival and a food voucher.
