The 10-year-old, currently a resident at Dogs Trust Merseyside, would love ‘a quiet home where he can be the only pet’ and is ready to soak up all the love and attention for himself.

Rossi’s favourite things are said to include gentle fuss, cosy snoozes and peaceful walks away from busy roads.

Dogs Trust Merseyside say he can be worried at first, so he’s looking for a patient family who will give him time to settle and feel safe in a calm household.

He can live with older children. Once comfortable, he is described as ‘affectionate, interactive and loves spending time off the lead’.

Rossi has been waiting a whole year for someone to notice him — could that someone be you?

Georgina Lowery, Manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, says: “Rossi is lovingly known as a Dogs Trust “Underdog,” a term used by the charity for dogs who have been waiting for their forever home for more than six months.

“These dogs often require additional training, ongoing veterinary care, or have specific rehoming needs, while others, like Rossi, are simply overlooked.’’
