The mood is low at Leeds United right now, but it could always be worse. Relegation rivals Wolves look to be in a dire situation that shows no signs of improvement.
United have a pivotal week ahead of them as they fight to stay clear of the relegation zone under Daniel Farke.
A trip to Nottingham Forest could prove decisive for the Leeds boss, amidst major managerial changes at the bottom of the Premier League.

Still winless, Vitor Pereira’s side were put to the sword by Marco Silva and his Fulham team. Reduced to 10 men, they were thumped 3-0.
As a result, the writing was on the wall for Pereira. He faced chants of “sacked in the morning” from the Craven Cottage away end. Then, departure was confirmed less than 24 hours later on Sunday:
Wolves have parted company with head coach Vitor Pereira.
We would like to thank Vitor and his staff for their tireless work during their time at Molineux.

Wolves are winless from 10 games to start the Premier League season. They’re currently sitting eight points adrift on just two so far.
Wolves advancing in talks to re-appoint Gary O’Neil, less than a year after his departure
The Molineux outfit find themselves with an improbable survival battle from hereon, needing to get the managerial appointment spot on to stand any chance.
David Ornstein has revealed that Wolves are now advancing in talks to reunite with former manager Gary O’Neil. The 42-year-old was sacked in December 2024 from Wolves after a similar start to the campaign. Pereira then turned their fortunes around in the second half of the campaign.

As a result, it’s safe to say the Wolves fan reaction to this double update hasn’t improved their optimism regarding survival from relegation.
Unsurprisingly, reaction online has been of complete rage from the Wolves fanbase, understandably so after a terrible summer window. Going back to a manager that failed at the club just a year ago would only make matters worse.
For Leeds watching on, it does provide a sense of relief knowing that we’re not in the worst position in the division. 20th place at the moment is being nailed down by Wolves.
