Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has fired back at a social media post that claimed he visited his ‘pregnant wife’ following Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest. Amad, 23, scored United’s second goal at The City Ground to ensure Ruben Amorim’s side earned a point and stretched their unbeaten run to four matches.
The Reds were on a three game winning run heading into the trip to Nottingham, but, despite taking the lead through Casemiro, they had to settle for a draw. Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolo Savona turned the game on its head and put Forest 2-1 ahead, before Amad netted in the 81st minute to grab a point for Amorim’s men.
After United’s trip to Forest, a social media post claimed Amad visited his ‘pregnant wife’, with two photos included. The account, which has over 33,000 followers, on X wrote: “Amad Diallo visits his pregnant wife after the weekend game. Impossible not to love them [red love heart emoji and goat emoji].”
Responding to the tweet, Amad shut down the claim and asked for people to respect his privacy.
Quoting the message, Amad said: “Spreading false information will not help you promote your page [cross mark emoji] A bit respect for my privacy.”
It was later alleged that one of the images included in the initial tweet was AI-generated, hence Amad’s response.
Amad’s goal against Forest was his first of the season. He has been playing in a deeper position since the arrival of Bryan Mbeumo in the summer and hasn’t got into as many goalscoring positions.
However, Amad could have scored another for United late on, as his rasping volley was cleared off the line by Murillo, denying the Reds what might have been a match-winning third goal.

Speaking post-match, Amorim praised Amad’s performance. He said: “Amad has a lot of talent, he is growing up really fast. I think we have a lot of players that are young and talented but we need to help in all the details.
“He is improving a lot, he can play in different positions, I think he can be so much better. More consistent in every detail, when he receives the ball, in build-up, when he is in the final third.
“You could see in the first half he had some opportunities. In a lot of games, he has that opportunity coming inside and the shot is not there yet. We are working on that, so he has potential to do better.”
United are next in action when they make the trip to Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday. The Reds then have a two-week break before entertaining Everton after the international hiatus.
