Daniel Farke will tell you himself that he prefers not to get too emotional when it comes to Leeds United’s form, because the club has such an emotional fanbase.

But the pressure is growing on the German. Fans are concerned for two reasons. The first is that Leeds have now lost three out of the last four and four out of five away games, with Forest away on Sunday.

The second is that Leeds have 11 points from 10, but face a horrendously tough run of fixtures over the next two months. Forest away will be difficult, but after that, things get so much harder for the Whites.

Leeds face an in-form Villa, a Man City side with a firing Erling Haaland, Liverpool twice in the space of four weeks, FA Cup winners Palace, Chelsea, and Sunderland, who have shocked all in the Premier League.

It’s all stacking against Farke and the German needs a win to subside the pressure. But what do The 49ers think of their manager, after the defeat at Brighton? Dean Jones told TeamTalk that the board is happy.

But, only for now. Jones believes that a few defeats in a row and possibly slipping into the relegation zone over Christmas could lead to The 49ers and Paraag Marathe having to make a decision on the manager.

“Leeds have been pretty happy with the way things have gone so far, there are small margins that have decided a few games, and for now Farke is not in danger,” Jones said, when discussing Farke’s future.

But, obviously, it does not take long for things to change radically in the Premier League. We see sides unravel every season and over the next month, the resolve of the club may be tested,” he continued.

“The fixture list looks tough and if Leeds are coming out on the wrong side each game, then they will probably be in the bottom three heading towards the Christmas period. That’s when they will really have to decide if Farke is showing the nous to keep them competitive and in the division.”

Marathe might have stuck by Farke in the summer, but only after massive speculation surfaced regarding Farke’s position. Leeds had sounded out Roger Schmidt, Davide Ancelotti and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Richard Keys claims Marathe only decided to stick by Farke because Jose Mourinho had turned down a move to Elland Road. Mourinho has now left Fenerbahce to return to his first club, LIGA NOS side Benfica.

Marathe and The 49ers have already shown that they are willing to sack Farke if that is what is required. Marathe was on the board when Leeds chose to hang fire with Jesse Marsch. Look how that turned out.

However, Leeds fans will be concerned by the mess that unraveled at Rangers after the board decided to sack Russell Martin. If the Leeds board is to sack Farke, they have to have a replacement ready in waiting.
