Birmingham City have a number of players who are running the risk of suspension in the Championship

Tomoki Iwata of Birmingham City
Tomoki Iwata is the latest Birmingham City player walking the disciplinary tightrope on four yellow cards in the Championship.
Iwata has starred at right-back in recent weeks with two excellent displays in the back-to-back 4-0 victories over Portsmouth and Millwall to confine summer signing Bright Osayi-Samuel to the bench.
It was in fact a ban for Osayi-Samuel that forced Chris Davies to deploy Iwata at right-back at Wrexham a month ago and the 28-year-old Japanese midfielder has added a new dimension to the Blues’ play.
But Iwata is at risk of incurring his own suspension, having recently reached four yellow cards in the league. Iwata has been booked against Blackburn, Coventry, Preston and Bristol City, meaning one more will see him banned.
Should Iwata receive a caution in any of Blues’ next five Championship games he will receive a one-match suspension.
The first amnesty comes in after 19 Championship matches, which means players can no longer be banned for receiving five cautions.
Blues face Middlesbrough on Saturday in their 15th Championship game of the season and play Norwich City, West Bromwich Albion, Watford and Southampton before the amnesty.
Influential trio Christoph Klarer, Paik Seung-ho and Jay Stansfield are all on three bookings and therefore at risk of landing a one-match ban.
