Today was an exciting day for Topshop fans as the brand launched it’s new pop up store inside the John Lewis at Liverpool One. The pop up officially opened at 10am and is in place before the launch of a permanent space, which is expected in February 2026.
The pop-ups which have also been launched at London Oxford Street, Bristol and Leeds, feature a curated selection of pieces, which will change weekly. In Liverpool, the initial collection included knitwear, evening dresses, bags and jeans with new collections available to shop in real life including items that aren’t available online.
I went down to check out what they had in store and here are five of my favourite finds:
Sparkly evening dress – £75
This is a dress I’m certain will fly off the shelves as it caught my eye straight away. The dark brown colour is bang on trend for autumn while the glitz and glamour of the sequin covered number make it ideal for Christmas party season too. Topshop is certainly making a statement with this one and if you’re shopping for a formal event, you can too.
Mixed pattern jumper – £65
I absolutely loved the mix of prints on this jumper with three bold patterns colliding into an incredible autumn winter piece. The bold stitching added extra interest while frayed elements hark back to the grungy edge that inspired so much of Topshop’s collections back in the day. This is a Topshop piece no doubt but with a very modern feel.
Faux fur coat – £100
This was the most expensive item I picked out but what a timeless classic it is. Perfect for the incoming cold weather, it is sure to be in style for winters to come making the price tag a bit more justifiable. You might want to use it as inspiration then hit a vintage shop, but either way it shows that Topshop is sticking to some chic wardrobe staples and this would have been just as fitting in a shop in 2005 as it is now.
Dree Jeans – £46
Of course the list wouldn’t be complete without Topshop’s jeans. The most memorable Joni and Jamie jeans weren’t stocked but they were listed on the display hinting at a likely arrival at the shop in months to come.
The pair I picked up were the Dree Jeans. I was genuinely taken back by seeing a skinny jeans take centre stage but glad to see Topshop taking bold step back in time to bring us the denim looks we loved in the noughties and early tens.
For those not ready to ditch the baggy jeans there were plenty of options too including an on-trend barrel leg jean.
Sparkly bag – £30
These bags would make the perfect addition to any Christmas party outfit or simply to add a bit of sparkle to your everyday wear. They reminded me of many of the cross body moon bags that have been dominating the high street this year but with the fabulously kitschy sparkle that felt very 2000s Topshop. I can just as easily imagine styling these with an cocktail dress as with a biker jacket and band t-shirt for the Alexa Chung-inspired outfit of dreams.
