Our thoughts are with those who have lost a loved one

Announcing the passing of a loved one in local news media is a longstanding tradition and we are proud of the trust placed in us to make these important announcements. Every notice published to our newspaper and news site also appears on funeral-notices.co.uk – the UK’s number one site for death notices and memoriams.

Every notice remains online forever providing friends and families with a lifelong tribute to their loved one, a safe place online to share memories, add tributes, photographs, and make donations in memory. Each week we pay tribute to the loved ones remembered in our area with a funeral notice and online tribute page.

To read the latest announcements and add tributes to those from our area who have passed away, or to create a funeral notice yourself, click here. Alternatively you can create a notice by calling our helpful team on 01482 908084.

Here are a selection of notices published earlier this week.

In Memoriams

Anthony James CULLEN

If I could visit Heaven, even for a day, the pain in my heart, would surely go away. I’d put my arms around you son, and whisper words so true, the last twenty years, have been so very hard to do. No matter how I spend my time, no matter what I do, there’s no morning, noon or night, when I don’t think of you. Give Dada a cwtch. Your broken-hearted Mama x x

November 10th A wife, a mother, a grandma too, This is the legacy we have from you. You taught us love and how to fight, You gave us strength, you gave us might. A stronger person would be hard to find, And in your heart, you were always kind. You fought for us all in one way or another, Not just as a wife not just as a mother. For all of us you gave your best, Now the time has come for you to rest. So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep, Your love in our hearts, we’ll eternally keep. Weep not for me though I have gone Into that gentle night Grieve if you will, but not for long Upon my soul’s sweet flight. I am at peace, my soul’s at rest There is no need for tears For with your love I was so blessed For all those many years. There is no pain, I suffer not The fear is now all gone Put now these things out of your thoughts. In your memory I live on Remember not my fight for breath Remember not the strife Please do not dwell upon my death But celebrate my life. Love Neil xxx Jodie, Paul, Gethin and Rhys xxxx Jamie, Lyndsey, Leila, Cari-Bella, Paige, Jesamaine and Ellen-Mair xxxxxxx

5th November 1995 And Death shall have no dominion. Dead men naked they shall be one With the man in the wind and west moon; When their bones are picked clean and their clean bones gone, They shall have stars at elbow and foot; Though they go mad they shall be sane, Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again; Though lovers be lost love shall not; And death shall have no dominion.
