Strictly Come Dancing has announced that four former finalists are set to return during the eagerly anticipated Blackpool Week.
Ashley Roberts, Danny Mac, Jay McGuiness and Layton Williams will all be back in the ballroom on the BBC show for one night only, where they will be taking part in a group dance as part of this year’s Blackpool specials.
The stars will team up with the show’s pros for the routine, which will see them each “revisit one of their most famous Strictly moments”.
It has been revealed that the new routine will feature elements of Jay and Ashley’s iconic Jives, Danny’s famous Samba and Layton’s show-stopping Quickstep.

Pussycat Dolls’ Ashley – who was a finalist on the show in 2018 – said she was “so excited and grateful to be back on the shiny floor in Blackpool again”.
“Nearly a decade later, let’s see if these jive legs can still do their thing!” she joked. “Sequins always help, I’m sure.”
Actor Danny, who was a Strictly finalist in 2016, said performing at The Tower Ballroom was a “highlight” of his time on the show and that to be doing it again was “as thrilling as it is terrifying”.

Former Strictly champ Jay, who lifted the coveted Glitterball trophy a decade ago, said he felt “extremely lucky to be part of the Strictly alumni that are going to shake our booties again”, while Bad Education star Layton said he was “absolutely buzzing to be back on THE most iconic dancefloor there is”.
“Blackpool brings back so many fab memories and it’s a true honour to be invited back… Let’s hope I’ve still got it, eh?!” said the star, who made it to the finals in 2023.

As well as the special dance routine from Ashley and co, the Blackpool shows will include performances by Steps and Lewis Capaldi.
