It’s been hailed as a ‘new chapter’

A popular Greater Manchester restaurant has reopened in a new location in the city centre – and they’re already fully booked for the next few days.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Afro-fusion spot Chillz, on Oldham Road in Failsworth, would be closing its original premises after five years to reopen with an expanded concept in Manchester.
Led by owners and former colleagues Tunde Onolaja and Enitan Omolaja, the restaurant and bar has become known for its African-infused dishes since first opening its doors in 2020.
The new two-level venue, situated on Chapel Street behind the National Football Museum, has been designed to inspire a vibrant late night atmosphere and comes complete with a stage and DJ booth.

Located within the former Bijou Club space, the restaurant and bar also includes two elegant dining rooms, which are able to seat more than 100 guests, a VIP guest lounge, and an outdoor space with seating for up to 40 people.
Having opened in its new spot this week, customers of the original Chillz restaurant have already been super eager to give it a visit and the restaurant is now fully booked out for three days across the weekend.
Expanding on its refined menu, the restaurant will serve favourites like succulent grilled fish, tiger prawn fried rice, steak and yam chips, and refreshing cocktails. Beyond dinner, there will also be live performances and DJ sessions extending into late night.

Enny Omolaja, Co-Owner at Chillz Restaurant Bar and Lounge, said: “From Failsworth to the heart of Manchester, this riverside location marks a pivotal moment for our business.
“My business partner, Tee, and I always knew we had a unique concept but even we have been blown away by the demand for the experience Chillz offers. Customers have been drawn here not just for the food, but for the culture and the atmosphere that it brings.

“This new chapter allows us to elevate everything we’ve built so far, while staying true to our roots and we are excited to bring Chillz closer to the action and welcome new guests to the party!”
Chillz is on 1-7 Chapel Street, Manchester, M3 7NJ.
