Glasgow City have entered a new partnership with ALT, a Glasgow-based creative campaigns agency, led by co-founder Laura Haggerty.

Glasgow City, founded in 1998, are Scotland’s most successful side in the UEGA Women’s Champions League, having reached two quarter-finals.

At the beginning of the season, Glasgow launched the City Collective, a sponsorship model for female-led businesses which aligns with the club’s value to create a mutual and beneficial network.

ALT, who sponsor the City Collective, have stated that their headline partnership is providing more than just financial support to the Scottish club. Both parties have expressed their shared passion to champion women and girls.

Glasgow City co-founder Laura Montgomery said: “It honours the many women who have defied expectations to make change and speaks to our players, our supporters and our community who continue to do the same.”

Founded in 2018, ALT have already built a strong reputation within the world of women’s sport. They have launched a number of campaigns for both women’s national and club competitions. They have also supported the World Boxing Championships, which saw them give equal billing to the men and women competing.

ALT founder Laura Haggerty expressed her pride: “I’m so proud ALT will be working in partnership with the club to improve its standing in the city, and create lasting, tangible opportunities for powerful women to connect with each other.

“I am convinced the City Collective can become a brilliant template for all women’s football teams to follow that will help galvanise and grow its support base and advocates.”
