Part of a book cover says The Right to Live in Peace. Artists speak from Palestine and London.

Celebrating the release of the anthology The Right to Live in Peace, an event at the Cartoon Museum in Wells Street this month brings together artists responding to the realities of occupation and war across Palestine.

The anthology features the work of artists from around the world creating in solidarity with the Palestinian people, and includes work by artists Mohammad Sabaaneh, Magdy El Shafee, Safaa Awad, and Hamza Abu Ayyash.

Joining them are Pulitzer Prize-winner Art Spiegelman (Maus), Joe Sacco (Footnotes in Gaza), Ben Katchor (Julius Knipl, Real Estate Photographer), Eric Drooker (Flood), and Sue Coe (How To Commit Suicide In South Africa).

The book launch will feature a presentation by British-Chilean artist R.M. Sánchez-Camus. Sharing their work via video from Palestine will be artists Mahammod Sabaneeh and Dina Omari to share insights into their creative processes and the urgent messages behind their contributions. They will be joined in person by special guest Raafaye Ali whose design for Gaza Cola won the World Illustration Award for 2025.

The Right to Live in Peace: Artists Speak from Palestine and London, at the Cartoon Museum, 63 Wells Street, Fitzrovia, London W1A 3AE, at 6.30pm on 20 November 2025. Book tickets here.
