I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will return to screens tonight ( Sunday November 16) for its 25th series. This year’s jungle line up includes Kelly Brook, Ruby Wax, Martin Kemp, Jack Osbourne, Aitch, Alex Scott, Angry Ginge, Eddie Kadi, Shona McGarty and Lisa Riley.

The show hasn’t even started yet but many will already be wondering how this year’s celebrities will fare in the face of the strict show rules they must follow which will be worlds apart from their luxurious realities.

Researchers from Northern have now revealed the bizarre rules the campers must adhere to during their time on the ITV series, covering everything from the number of pairs of underwear they can bring with them to strict regulations around nicotine.

In the first ever season of I’m A Celebrity, deodorant was banned on camp.

However, this rule was later dropped after rumour has it that the contestants smelled so bad that it caused complaints among the crew.

For this alleged reason, the deodorant ban was lifted from season two onwards.

Vaping

Australia has very strict rules when it comes to vapes and tobacco products.

All vaping products brought into the country must be accompanied by a prescription from a doctor. In addition to this, Australians can only buy vapes from a pharmacy, unlike in the UK where vape stores, supermarkets and convenience stores all sell vaping devices.

Some celebs have been seen smoking and vaping in recent years on the show. Despite numerous bans on other essential items, the campmates are allowed a supply of nicotine, whether that be through cigarettes or through vapes.

While smokers are free to smoke as much as they wish, those who plan on using a vape are required to get a prescription from a doctor before entering the show. Other nicotine items such as nicotine pouches or patches are also allowed in the camp.

Underwear

The celebs are only allowed to take absolute essentials into the jungle with them and that rule of course applies to underwear. However, the number of pairs they can take with them is very limited – but it is a slight improvement to the previous rules.

In season one, the campers were only allowed to take one pair of knickers which has since been extended to three pairs. This is why viewers see the celebrities doing their washing so often while on the show.

Weight loss items

For as long as the show has been on, celebrities have been able to continue taking prescription medication.

This year, new rules mean that contestants who have been prescribed any skinny jabs will be able to keep taking them.
