Ukraine has finalized a historic defense agreement with France
aimed at strengthening its military capabilities, Ukrainian
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced in his morning address,
Azernews reports.
“We have prepared a historic agreement with France – one that
will significantly bolster our combat aviation, air defense, and
other defense capacities. According to the visit schedule, this
will take place on Monday,” Zelensky stated.
He also announced a planned visit to Spain on Tuesday, aimed at
enhancing cooperation in air defense and supporting the restoration
of Ukrainian forces following Russian attacks.
Zelensky expressed hope that the upcoming negotiations will be
productive, highlighting Spain’s involvement in international
initiatives to assist Ukraine. “Our top priorities today are air
defense systems and missiles. We continue to rebuild our forces
after every Russian strike – it’s not easy, but we are doing it. We
are also focused on resilience and readiness for the winter,” he
added, outlining the agenda for future discussions.
