A “spa escape” at a popular Edinburgh hotel can currently be booked for better than half price. The accommodation has been praised by guests as “adorable” and “everything you want a Scottish manor to be and more”.
Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club is a four-star hotel situated on the outskirts of Edinburgh, around seven miles from the city centre. It is one of Scotland’s top golf resorts, and features a full leisure suite.
Wowcher is currently offering an overnight stay for two people at the hotel at a price of £119, plus £4.99 admin fee. With the usual price of a one-night stay being £265.05, this is a discount of 55 per cent.

The voucher website’s deal consists of a stay in one of Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club’s double rooms. Also included is a glass of Prosecco each, a cooked Scottish breakfast in the morning, leisure access, and a late checkout.
The leisure facilities at the hotel include an indoor heated swimming pool, a well-equipped gym, a sauna, and a steam room. Guests can also enjoy fitness classes, outdoor floodlit tennis courts, and a nature trail.
Additionally, there is the option to upgrade the stay to include a £40 per person dinner credit at Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club’s restaurant.

The Pentland’s menus celebrate Scotland’s larder and make use of produce from the hotel’s own kitchen garden, with dishes on offer including wild bass, gnocchi, venison loin, and salmon.
Elsewhere, nearby hotels include the Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh West and The Bridge Inn. The former can be booked for as little as £62, while an overnight stay at the latter is available for £100.
The Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh West features rooms with flat-screen TVs and tea and coffee making facilities, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi. All rooms also have a private bathroom, while other extras include free toiletries and a hairdryer.
Meanwhile, The Bridge Inn also offers rooms with private bathrooms, TVs, tea and coffee makers, and free Wi-Fi. Additionally, the inn features an on-site restaurant and bar that specialises in Scottish, British, and European cuisines.

On Tripadvisor, Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club itself has earned mostly very positive feedback from previous guests. It has a rating of 3.9 out of five on the travel website based on 3,186 reviews.
One guest posted: “Place is adorable. Rooms are large and clean. Not too noisy.
“Restaurants are good and fairly priced. Grounds are really pretty, staff are very nice.”

A three-star review reads: “Been a few times and it has always been really good. This time I was disappointed with the food in the upstairs restaurant, I complained about our pasta which was awful. Neighbouring tables were moaning about their pizzas being bland.”
