A Birmingham man has been charged with the murder of his stepbrother three years after the victim died.
Staffordshire Police officers were sent to an address in Tamworth following concerns about the welfare of a man on November 27, 2022.
Rubin Blout, 28, was taken to Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield but died three days later.

Now his stepbrother Kenneth Newton, 57, and a woman, Melanie James, 63, have both been charged with murder, manslaughter and causing or allowing the death of a child or vulnerable adult.
The pair, who are both from Birmingham, are due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre tomorrow, Thursday, November 20.
Staffordshire Police said: “A man and a woman have been charged with the murder of a man in Tamworth in 2022.
“Kenneth Newton, 57, and Melanie James, 63, both of Birmingham, have been charged with murder, manslaughter and causing or allowing the death of a child or vulnerable adult.
“It comes after we responded to reports of concerns for the welfare of a man at 1.27pm on November 27, 2022. Rubin Blount, then aged 28, who is the stepbrother of Kenneth, was taken to hospital but sadly died three days later.
“Newton and James will appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre tomorrow.”
