A POPULAR Indian restaurant loved by celebrities has revealed it will open its second Scottish branch in Glasgow.
Dishoom serves up Bombay comfort food including house black daal, tandoori chat, spicy lamb chops and mattar paneer.

The much-loved chain already has locations in Edinburgh, London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Famous visitors include Harry Styles, Pippa Middleton, and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Now bosses are set to take over the former stock exchange building at Glasgow’s Nelson Mandela Place.
Dishoom has agreed a 20-year lease and will occupy 7,000 sq ft across the ground and basement floors of the listed building, Insider reports.
It’s understood the new restaurant will open this summer.
Glasgow residents flocked to the comments to react to the exciting news.
One wrote: “Finally!”
Another said: “We have to go.”
A third added: “This is exciting.”
A fourth weighed in: “Can’t wait, it’s amazing.”
Top Scottish Indian Restaurants Shine Globally
A description of the Edinburgh branch, on the capital’s St Andrew Square reads: “Scottish botanist, sociologist and town planner Patrick Geddes (1854–1932) was invited to Bombay in 1915.
“While there, he founded the department of Sociology & Civics at Bombay University, and continually sought to better society by improving civic facilities and creating shared environments.
“At Dishoom Edinburgh, we pay tribute to Geddes’ big-hearted character, his visionary thinking and his humanist ideals. Open all day, every day, serving Bombay comfort food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening tipples. All are welcome.”
It comes days after Scotland’s best Indian restaurant was named in this year’s national awards.
The Scottish Curry Awards 2025 were held in Doubletree by Hilton in Glasgow, celebrating the best curry houses and chefs across the country.
The prestigious event spotlights Scotland’s rich and diverse curry culture as well as and encouraging the future of the industry.
