A road has been closed off after a car crashed and flipped on its side. Merseyside Police received a report of a crash involving one car on Bedford Street South in The Georgian Quarter at around 5.30pm this evening (November 22).
Pictures taken from the scene at 6.45pm show a car trapped in a gap at the front of a Georgian house which leads to the basement. Police had closed the road off between Canning Street and Sir Howard Street.
A force incident manager for Merseyside Police told the ECHO it was that one vehicle was involved, which had “ended up in quite a precarious position”.
Traffic officers were at the scene to manage the road closure.

No injuries have been reported. The car was removed at around 7.30pm using specialist equipment.
It’s expected that the road will re-open shortly.
