Merseyside Police said it has seized a dog

A dog has been killed following an attack. Emergency services were called to Timway Drive in West Derby on Sunday, November 9, with reports a miniature Cockapoo had been attacked by another dog.
The dog, which was on its lead when it attacked the miniature Cockapoo, is believed to be an XL Bully, police said. The Cockapoo was taken to the vets where it later died.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said no other injuries were reported in the attack. Officers confirmed a suspected XL Bully type dog has been seized and the owner has been identified. An investigation is ongoing, a spokesperson for the force said.
