Sports Minister Gordon Lyons speaks at the Northern Ireland Football Fund launch
Sports Minister Gordon Lyons has advised Irish League clubs who were successful in advancing to the next round of the Northern Ireland Football Fund (NIFF) not to spend money on their funding projects for the time being, Belfast Telegraph Sport can reveal.
Twenty clubs had their applications advanced to the next stage in September, including big winners Glentoran and Cliftonville, who each applied for funding of more than £6m from Tier Three.
