A search has been launched to find a missing teenage boy who has not been seen in over a week. Gerald, 17, whose surname was not disclosed by police, was last seen on Manchester Road in Bury.

Greater Manchester Police said the last sighting of the 17-year-old was at 4.15pm on Monday, November 17. The force said officers ‘want to make sure he is safe and well’.

Gerald is described as a white male, around 5ft 7ins tall, and of a slim build with short, dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing a red coat, black LV joggers, black Nike trainers and a yellow JD bag.

A statement issued by police said: “Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about him and want to make sure he is safe and well”.

A photo of Gerald was also issued as part of the public appeal. Anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts is being urged to contact police immediately.
