These are trying times for supporters of Sheffield Wednesday, with uncertainty surrounding the ownership of the club.
One positive is that Dejphon Chansiri is no longer running the club into the ground, and that is at least one bleak chapter that can finally have a line drawn underneath it.
Wednesday are going to be relegated this season. The Owls are 18 points adrift at the bottom of the Championship and will find the rest of 2025/26 remarkably tough.

Mike Ashley has been linked with buying Wednesday, and perhaps he could represent a safe pair of hands for the Owls at this time.
Rob Dorsett from Sky Sports has made a positive announcement on the back of Sunday’s defeat, and it might only be a little bit longer to wait for the Owls to receive bids.
He’s claimed on X that three credible offers are currently on the table, with two more expected in the coming days.
Furthermore, he believes that a preferred bidder could actually be announced by the end of next week.
Wednesday have to keep fighting on the pitch, but the hope will be that things can be in place ready for a new manager to have some funds to spend in January.

Positive Sheffield Wednesday news regarding January signings
Not only are Wednesday close to announcing a preferred bidder to buy the football club, but it would appear that signings could be on the way too.
Dorsett has claimed that the EFL will allow Wednesday to sign a second new player after the addition of Liam Cooper, who checked in recently.
Injury problems and players soon heading off for the AFCON mean that the EFL will look sympathetically on Wednesday and another new addition is on the cards.
The Owls need all the help they can get at the moment and given that other new players are badly needed, the hope will be that this takeover can happen extremely soon.
