A body has been found in the search for missing Huyton man Kenneth Unsworth. The 46-year-old was reported missing on Saturday, November 22 after he was last seen leaving his home on Thursday, November 20.

Police Scotland confirmed the body of a man was found at around 12.20pm on Wednesday, November 26, in an area off the A90 between Brechin and Laurencekirk in Scotland. While formal identification has not yet taken place, Kenneth’s family have been informed.

Officers said the death is currently being treated as unexplained, and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. In a statement, Police Scotland said: “Around 12.20pm on Wednesday, 26 November, the body of a man was found off the A90 between Brechin and Laurencekirk.

“Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of Kenneth Unsworth, reported missing from Merseyside, has been informed. The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
