Police at the scene on Hope Street
A teenage boy has been injured after being struck by a car on a busy Liverpool city centre street. Merseyside Police were alerted by North West Ambulance Service at around 3.40pm on Thursday, November 27, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car on Hope Street.
The teenager suffered a leg injury and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital. Police said the driver of the vehicle, a silver Ford Focus, also suffered a neck injury.
Two ambulances and five police vehicles attended the scene. The driver of the Ford Focus stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries. The road has since reopened.
