An emergency response was seen on Edinburgh‘s Princes Street this afternoon.
Fire crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to the popular shopping and tourist location shortly before 3.30pm.
At least four appliances have responded to the incident, the exact nature of which has not been confirmed.
Speaking to our sister title Edinburgh Live, a local resident said: “I was just on my way home from work when and I spotted the trucks in the distance. I have no idea what’s going on but I hope everyone is okay.
“There was a good few firefighters on the scene.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for comment.
