The Island’s Ferry Terminal in Liverpool has won a UK architecture award.

Judges named it top of the Infrastructure and Transport category in this year’s Architects’ Journal Awards.

The building at Prince’s Half-Tide Dock first opened to passengers in June last year.

The Island’s director of harbours David Gooberman says it’s not only a vital transport hub, but a modern, stylish gateway to the Island.
