Gran Turismo 7 PS5 PS4

Polyphony Digital is planning a significant Gran Turismo 7 overhaul for PS5 and PS4 players later this week, as it is now confirmed the free Spec III update will launch the same week as the game’s first paid piece of DLC, the Power Pack.

The racing title’s first paid-for expansion, the Power Pack, releases on Thursday, 4th December, and now series creator Kaz Yamauchi has revealed in a Twitter post “the GT7 Spec III update is coming next week”, having been posted over the weekend.

The monthly Gran Turismo 7 patches have generally rolled out on Wednesdays and Thursdays, depending on your timezone.

The free Spec III update adds the following to Gran Turismo 7 on PS5 and PS4:

  • Two new tracks (Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve)
  • Eight new cars
  • Dunlop tires
  • Data Logger
  • Collector Level cap increased
  • Unlimited car invitations in Brand Central
  • Enhanced Weekly Challenges
  • New opening movie
  • New Menu Book Seasonal Menu
  • New events in Circuit Experience
  • New Curations in Scapes
  • Improvements to online races

Meanwhile, the Power Pack DLC will only be available on PS5, and it’s not yet known how much it’ll cost. This major expansion will add an additional 50 race events to the game, including endurance races that are up to 24 hours long.
