  • Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is allegedly demanding an enormous payout to leave the Royal Lodge.
  • King Charles kicked Andrew out of the mansion at the same time his titles were stripped.
  • Andrew was paying “one peppercorn” in rent per month.

Please take this with a grain of salt while absolutely gasping, but rumor has it that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is demanding an enormous payout in order to leave the Royal Lodge, the fancy mansion he’s been living in rent-free for years.

According to Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop, Andrew is “refusing to leave” the Royal Lodge despite being evicted by King Charles, and he’s been “telling people he wants £75,000,000 to even think about moving out.” Sources also say that he wants a huge house in Sandringham as a “replacement,” and is insisting on access to “a cook, a gardener, a housekeeper, a driver,” and police protection. So…will King Charles agree to his terms? Apparently a deal is being worked on, but “negotiations are crawling” for obvious reasons.

Meanwhile, the Daily Beast also reports that Andrew is demanding a “six or seven bedroom” home in Sandringham, while a friend tells the outlet that “Andrew has done exactly what has been asked of him, and he just wants to be left alone. He is giving up the lease on one of England’s finest houses and expects to be treated fairly.”

A former courtier adds “Knowing Andrew, this was always going to be about money. Andrew is essentially being bought out of the lease, so he will haggle over every last detail of the deal.”

Welp. Guess we’ll see how that works out for him.
