WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – The WFISD Combined Marching Bands are only 1.25% away from fully funding their invitation to perform in the 2026 London New Year’s Day Parade.
For all bands, this school year has been focused on fundraising in a coordinated effort to ensure that every eligible student can participate in the trip regardless of financial circumstances. So far, more than 130 sponsors, families, businesses, civic organizations, and individual donors have contributed roughly $987,500 to this campaign.
69 percent of all Wichita Falls ISD students have been identified as economically disadvantaged, and organizers say that the community has been extraordinary in their efforts to see every band to London.
“This final 1.25 percent is what will carry us over the finish line,” organizers said. “Our community has been extraordinary, and we are confident Wichita Falls will help us finish strong.
Organizers say that community members and businesses can contribute through:
- One-time individual gifts
- Business or foundation sponsorships
- Matching donations
- Anonymous or in-honor-of holiday gifts
Donations can either be presented to the front offices at Legacy and Memorial High School, Attn: London Bands, or made digitally at the fundraiser’s page on Zeffy.
