A man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing at a popular Sandwell pub.

The victim, believed to be aged in his 20s, was stabbed in the leg at The Abbey on Abbey Road, in Bearwood, last night (November 29).

West Midlands Police said it was called to reports of disorder there at 8.40pm.

Three man – aged between 30, 24 and 19 – have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and remain in custody.

The victim remains in a stable condition in hospital.

WMP has appealed for anyone with information to get in touch, quoting log 4189 of November 29.

Photos showed the street illuminated by blue lights as emergency services responded to the incident.

A spokesperson for WMP said: “We’ve arrested three people after a man was stabbed at a pub in Bearwood.

“We were called to disorder at The Abbey on Abbey Road at around 8.40pm yesterday.

“The victim, believed to be in his 20s, was stabbed in the leg and remains in a stable condition in hospital.

“Three men aged 30, 24, and 19, are in custody today and will be questioned in suspicion of wounding.

“Enquiries continue and anyone with information has been asked to get in touch, quoting log 4189 of 29 November.”
