Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a man was discovered inside a Birmingham property.

The emergency services were called to Walsall Road, close to Scott Arms, Perry Barr around 6.30am on Wednesday, after a man suffered a cardiac arrest.

Sadly, nothing could be done to help the man and he was declared dead at the scene.

West Midlands Police are currently treating the death as ‘unexplained’ and have arrested three people-two men and a woman- on suspicion of murder.

Officers are said to have remained at the address until 1pm.

According to local reports, the property is a HMO.

West Midlands Police said: “We were called just after 6.30am this morning (3 Dec) to Walsall Road, Perry Barr after a man was found in cardiac arrest.

“The man in his 40s, sadly dead at the scene.

“His death is currently being treated as unexplained.

“Two men aged 49 and 58 and a 41-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder in relation to our enquiries and are currently in custody for questioning.
