Hollyoaks’ Mercedes McQueen questions who Warren Fox really wants later this month, when his mission to catch out her blackmailer brings him closer to his ex-girlfriend Gemma Johnson!
Viewers know that both Gemma and Diane have discovered it was Mercedes who shot Tony on his wedding day, and the pair have now teamed up to take revenge and make her life a misery.
While Diane is continuing to make oblivious Mercedes feel guilty about her actions, Gemma is working to get her addicted to anxiety pills. This plan seemed to work, as Mercedes soon mixed these pills with alcohol in a worrying night out with Ste.
When Mercedes is given just 24 hours to pay her blackmailer before she is brutally outed as Tony’s shooter, Warren decides to work with Gemma to raise the cash. Though, things tick up a notch when Gemma reveals her grand plan to intercept a robbery…

“Gemma tells Warren that she’s had a tip off and suggests that they steal from the robbers – it’s all a bit Robin Hood!” says our Hollyoaks insider. “Warren would rather not team up with his ex, but he’s willing to do whatever it takes to protect Mercedes – including organised crime.
“However, Gemma has happily spied tension between Mercedes and Warren, and she seems delighted that her Christmas wish could be coming true…”
Despite Warren’s good intentions, Mercedes spirals when she sees him with Gemma, and she throws accusations at him in a jealous rage.

Later, Hollyoaks village gets into the festive spirit, and Mercedes and Warren take a stroll through the Grand Bazaar Christmas market together. Mercedes uses this opportunity to confess that she’s confused about who Warren really wants…
“Mercedes is really struggling, and Warren is the only person that she feels able to open up to, so she can’t lose him,” explains our source. “She makes arrangements to pay her blackmailer, but Warren wants revenge on her behalf…”
When Warren reassures Mercedes that she’s the only one he wants, is he telling the truth? Or could the notorious bad boy still have feelings for his meddling ex?
These scenes will air from Monday 15 December to Wednesday 17 December.
