An iconic Stokes Croft bar and music venue has come on the market.

The Full Moon Hostel and Attic Bar – which is known for its funky decor, multi-cultural atmosphere and its music nights – is on sale for £3.2 million.

A spokesperson for property agent Burston Cook, who is handling the sale, said: “Located at the start of the world-renowned Stokes Croft area of Bristol and just five minutes from the city centre, The Full Moon and Attic Bar is a multi-cultural, multi-venue hub that boasts a large courtyard, pub section, nightclub, hostel and two kitchens.

“The Hostel provides fantastic accommodation and the bar/nightclub is home to some great residents DJ’s, as well as UK and international artists from the electronic and live music scene.

“The Property is located on North Street in the vibrant Stokes Croft area, within Bristol city centre. Cabot Circus shopping centre is approximately 420m southeast of the site providing extensive shopping and leisure facilities.”

The grade-II listed building is located on a historic site with 17th century origins in the heart of central Bristol.

Over the years, the Full Moon has been extended and reconfigured to provide a public house and hostel (Full Moon) with a separate events space (Attic Bar).

The site also has planning permission for the development of a further 15, serviced, one-bedroom apartments.

A highlight for the venue this year was a special event held to celebrate the life career of DJ Derek, 10 years after his death.

On its website, the venue says: “We offer a great selection of Lager, Local IPAs, Ciders, Cocktails, Wines and Spirits, as well as our in-house Luna Piena pizza kitchen. We pride ourselves on using local breweries, distilleries and suppliers as often as we can.”
