Norwich City head to inform Sheffield United in midweek as they look to return to winning ways.
Norwich City have had a turbulent start to this season. The Canaries came into the year with a new boss in the form of Liam Manning, but his spell did not last long as he was sacked 15 games into the season following a 2-1 defeat to Leicester City.
NCFC appointed Phillipe Clement as his replacement, and after three games, he secured his first win as boss. His side beat QPR 3-1 in what was just Norwich City’s third win of the campaign.

However, they failed to back that up last time out as they were beaten 3-2 by Watford. NCFC led the game twice yet still came away with nothing.
Their opponents in midweek Sheffield United had endured a very similar start to the year. Much like Norwich City, SUFC had started the year with a new boss, but he has already been replaced.
The Blades started the year under Ruben Selles’ guidance, but now Chris Wilder has returned once again. Wilder’s return did not ignite as expected right away, but now Sheffield United are looking like a real force.
Sheffield United under Chris Wilder this season
SUFC have won their last four games, propelling them out of the relegation zone. Wilder’s side are now eight points away from the play-off places and have them in their sights as January approaches.
Here, a handful of our writers make their predictions for the game…
Charlie Hodgson
“Norwich City will be so disappointed to come away with no points last weekend. The Canaries have had a very poor season and need to come up with improvements soon.
“Sheffield United have found those improvements in recent weeks. Their last few performances have been superb and they do not look like slowing up anytime soon under Wilder.

“With that said, I can only see Sheffield United taking the win here. SUFC will want to make Bramall Lane a fortress as the season goes on and I can’t see NCFC having the answers to an inform side.”
Prediction: Sheffield United 3-0 Norwich City
James Ray
“Sheffield United are taking big strides in the right direction now. Four wins from four and 13 goals scored in that time, SUFC are on the rise.
“You can’t help but feel they’ll be really confident of their chances here too. Norwich City have shown some improvements under Clement but they lost at the weekend and I feel they’ll struggle here.
“The Blades are showing some long-awaited killer instinct in attack, and I think they’ll punish a Canaries side that will give them chances. I’m saying this ends in a 3-1 home win.”
Prediction: Sheffield United 3-1 Norwich City
