Prince Harry is cracking some jokes about growing up in the Royal Family.
On Friday (December 5), the 41-year-old Duke of Sussex was a distinguished guest and speaker at the British-American Business Council’s 65th Annual Christmas Luncheon in Santa Monica, Calif.
During his speech, Harry compared his life in the Royal Family to Downton Abbey.
Keep reading to find out more…“People sometimes ask if growing up with the royal family was a bit like [show creator] Julian’s [Fellowes] Downton Abbey,’ Harry said, per People. “Yeah, but only one of those worlds is filled with drama, intrigue, elaborate dinners [and] marriages to Americans — and the other is a TV show.”
On a more serious note, Harry talked about living in the United States as a British citizen.
“For me, being British isn’t about where you physically stand, but what you stand for,” he said.
Harry also shared that celebrating the Fourth of July has been a new experience for him.
“It’s a new world to me, celebrating independence from Britain, and more specifically, independence from my great, great, great, great, great, great-grandfather,” he noted.
Prince Harry also recently appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert where he threw a dig at Donald Trump.
