Sheffield Wednesday were held to a 1-1 draw by Watford at Vicarage Road in the Championship on Tuesday night.

The Owls are in search of a first win since September, and it’s fair to say that a depleted squad is giving head coach Henrik Pedersen everything they have.

Barry Bannan got injured last night at Watford, and now, fans will await the prognosis of the groin problem that ensured he had to be withdrawn at half-time.

Pierce Charles returned to form at Watford, and now, it would appear that another player might not be too far away from returning to action.

The talented striker started the 2025/26 season very well, scoring against Portsmouth, when Wednesday last won a game, and Birmingham.

Brown is a centre-forward, and he must be gutted that in a season when Wednesday haven’t been able to buy players, he will be gutted to have picked up an injury.

However, the comeback is better than the setback, with Brown now close to making a return to action, it would seem, according to Henrik Pedersen.

He told the Sheffield Star: “He is on the pitch and he is training. I hope this week he will be back in full power training, and I hope we can see him back in the squad again. I am really looking forward to this.”

Brown can play a part in Wednesday squad this season.

The talented youngster has come through the academy at Middlewood Road, and he deserves his chances in the team.

Brown has shown that he can score goals in the Championship, with Wednesday utilising him earlier in the campaign.

Wednesday need all the help they can get with scoring goals and having Brown as an option in the squad should bode well going into the second half of the season.

With League One football coming up next season, Brown looks like he could form a huge part of the club’s future and he will want to be back on the pitch very soon.
