A flat block in Glasgow has been evacuated amid an “ongoing incident”.

Armed police are at the scene on Drumlaken Street in the Summerston area of the city after being called out at 9.50am on Monday.

Police say they are responding to an incident in connection with an ongoing investigation.

Several surrounding streets, including Caldercuilt Road, between Arrochar Street and Rothes Drive, and Arrochar Street at Drumlaken Street, have been closed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.50am on Monday, 15 December, 2025, officers attended an address on Drumlaken Street in Glasgow in connection with an ongoing investigation.

Police, including firearms officers, remain at the scene.

“A number of nearby properties have been evacuated as a precaution.

“There are also road closures in place on Caldercuilt Road, between Arrochar Street and Rothes Drive, and Arrochar Street at Drumlaken Street.”
