After earning a draw away at Brentford on Sunday, Leeds United now turn their attention to the final home game of 2025 against Crystal Palace.

United are now on an unbeaten run spanning three games. It doesn’t sound like much. But, given the difficulty of our fixture list this winter, it’s definitely an impressive turn of form.

After beating Chelsea and deservedly fighting for a draw against Liverpool, Leeds got another point on the board away at Brentford.

Leeds United’s attention turns to Crystal Palace after impressive Brentford showing

Before Brentford, I think most sensible Leeds fans would have been happy to shake hands for a point before a ball was even kicked.

That’s a testament to the Bees’ brilliant home record. Also, the fact Leeds are looking to pick battles on home turf themselves. The stark contract between our performances at Elland Road and on our travels means we’re more likely to get the bulk of our return in West Yorkshire.

So, getting a point on the road against a side that have dispatched of Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa is a good one.

It becomes an even better point if Leeds can build on it this week against Crystal Palace. The Eagles, again, are obviously a formidable side when at the peak of their powers.

Oliver Glanser’s side, though, come into this game smarting from a 3-0 home defeat to a resurgent Manchester City.

Oliver Glasner facing three-game Crystal Palace headache amid Leeds United schedule nightmare

Most importantly for Leeds, their opponents this Saturday are juggling an incredibly congested fixture list in December.

Competing in the Conference League and EFL Cup, Glasner’s men play Finnish side KuPS on Thursday night at home before their trip to Leeds 48 hours later. Then, they travel to Arsenal in the EFL Cup quarter-final on the following Tuesday.

Tackling three games in six days, Glasner has already confirmed his intention to heavily rotate in the Conference League. Their qualification is largely assured after last week’s win. As a result, it allows them to make as many as 11 changes, in order to focus on Leeds and Arsenal.

However, Glasner has been vocal in his discontent with the lack of squad depth. And with Senegal taking star winger Ismaila Sarr for AFCON, they’re even shorter.

The Eagle’s record after playing in Europe this season is as follows: one win, two draws, four losses.
