A man arrested on Monday, December 15, following a disturbance in Glasgow – which saw armed police called in – has since been charged.
The incident happened at around 9.50am on Monday after officers attended a property on Drumlaken Street in Summerston in connection with an ongoing investigation. A disturbance shortly followed and specialist resources, including firearms officers, attended as a precaution.
Roads were also closed and nearby residents were forced to leave their properties for nearly 10 hours during the disturbance, they later returned in the evening.

A spokesperson said: “Around 9.50am on Monday, 15 December, 2025, officers attended an address on Drumlaken Street in Glasgow in connection with an ongoing investigation.
“A disturbance followed and specialist resources, including firearms officers, attended as a precaution.
“A 56-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 16 December, 2025.”
