A NEW dental practice will open in Edinburgh’s West End at the end of January.
The practice will open at 24 Stafford Street, on the site of another former dental practice which closed down recently and will accept both NHS and private patients.
The clinic is being opened by Adam Wright, a dentist who said he is a “firm believer in the NHS” and “passionate about delivering high quality NHS care for all”.
The West End Dental Practice will offer both routine dental checkups and cosmetic procedures.

Lead dentist Adam, who has spent years as a dentist and dental practice owner in the Lothians, announced the news publicly for the first time on Tuesday.
He posted to a local Facebook group about the news and spoke of his excitement at the prospect of opening the new clinic.
The practice will be headed up by Adam, who graduated from Newcastle University in 2012, but the team will also include Dr. Karim Abdelatty and Dr. Nikolaos Zafeiropoulos.
A spokesperson for Adam Wright and the clinic said: “Too many people in Scotland and England struggle to find an NHS dentist who take on new patients.
“It’s something he’s felt really passionate about – that everybody should have access to good quality dental healthcare.
“It’s estimated that around three quarters of local dentists were closed to new registrations, with some patients waiting up to two years.”
On the new location, he said: “Adam is really passionate about providing good healthcare, so he has acquired a site in Stafford Street, and will be the principal dentist there alongside other dentists.
“They’ll be offering routing checkups and cosmetic procedures in a modern and fresh environment.”
He added: “It’s about patient-centred care, and it’s being opened up to everybody.
“So it doesn’t matter if you can afford private or not, you’ve still got access to a good dentist and state-of-the art equipment.”
In a statement on the practice’s website, they outlined their “clear vision”.
They said: “West End Dental and Implant Practice was a clear vision, to create a centre of excellence where patients receive only the highest standards of modern dentistry serving both NHS and Private registrations.
“Our goal has always been to ensure that every patient enjoys truly personalised cosmetic, general, and specialist dental care in a warm, welcoming, and comfortable environment.
“We aim to build lifelong relationships based on trust, provide exceptional customer service, support ongoing professional development for all team members, and cultivate a wonderful workplace for everyone.
“West End Dental and Implant Practice in Edinburgh is a modern, purpose-built clinic equipped with the latest dental technology.
“We provide a full range of NHS and private dental services, ensuring patients receive comprehensive, reliable, and long-lasting care.”
Wright already runs two other dental practices – the Read and Watters Dental Practice and the 103 Dental and Implant Practice.
The West End Dental Practice will offer not just standard dental checkups and procedures, but also a range of cosmetic procedures.
The practice will offer teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, and invisible braces.
24 Stafford Street used to be home to Stafford Street Dental Care, but the premises has been vacant for some time now.
The West End Dental Clinic is taking on new patients in the new year, but people interested can get in touch with them now to sign up.
