If you thought 2026 might be a little easier on Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle than the last 12 months – think again. Things don’t seem to ease up for the farmer as actor Natalie J Robb has teased that her character is in for a “rocky time” in the new year.

Fans of the ITV soap will know that Moira has been implicated in Celia Daniels’ horrific crimes, meaning that when the villain goes down, she could drag the fan-favourite character down with her.

In a bid to frame her business partner, Celia has forged Moira’s signature on bogus invoices for turkeys.

But that’s not all, with Celia burying the body of Anya, a vulnerable young woman that Celia and Ray Walters lured into their slavery operation, on Moira’s land at Butler’s Farm, wrapped in a blanket belonging to her.

We know that Celia is poised to leave the show, but will Moira be able to escape her clutches unscathed?

Speaking ahead of what is sure to be an explosive Christmas period, Robb shared what fans can expect from her character.

“This Christmas, Moira, Cain, and the family are all going to be together,” she began. “So it’s lovely as for once the family is together for Christmas Day.

“In fact, we have two surprise Christmas arrivals to add to the mix, and there are some quite amusing scenes where one of them tries to get Cain to dance.

“It is fun, and there is nice family stuff going on, so I hope people enjoy it.”

But heading into the new year, the fun will stop, with Moira having a “stressful” time.

Speaking about what is coming up for Moira in 2026, Robb said: “I’m really looking forward to it as there are lots of good things coming up. We have the big episodes before and then Corriedale. But Moira is going to have quite a rocky time.

“It’s going to be stressful. The Celia drama will have a knock on effect.”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
